1905 VINTAGE CASE STEAM TRACTOR & THRASHER MEN WORKING FARM 8X10 PHOTO AMERICANA This is a sharp and clear 8 X 10 inch black and white with white border glossy real photo. These gentlemen are not taking a break, they appear to be between threshing jobs. If you look at the man second from the left, it appears as the boiler is not at operating temperatures (they operate at temperatures over 250 degrees). At the time this picture was taken, there were several companies that would travel between farms threshing grain. Looking at the shadows cast by the young boy and the man second from the right, I would say the picture was taken in the morning prior to moving to the next job. Also, the fact that the thresher is being towed alludes to this fact. The young boy is probably the son of either the farmer of the grain that was threshed the day before or of the owner of the machines, probably a farmer's son given the distance he is from the crew.
