It was held on February 23, 1931, at the home of the late owner, Colonel B. Swalls. The sale was conducted by auctioneer C.L. Bartley. Hogs, chickens and various grains were among the items up for bid. The sign measures 9 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches and is in very good condition, with light creases, a nail hole and two torn corners.
