1920's HISTORIC HOLSTEIN FRESIAN BANNER advertising CARNATION KING SYLVIA the $106,000 Bull and his grandson King Tillie Echo as well as the accredited herd and owner. This is an all original one of a kind banner from the 1920's. Measures 8' long x 3' wide. Estate purchase from the the original owners farm in Sharpsburg, Md....Washington County...never has been offered for sale. There's a plethora of information available on the internet of this well documented bull, the herd and his Grandfather from which I have included several snapshots in the pics. King Sylvia was judged and scored virtually perfect in 1919 in Seattle Washington and was purchased for $106,000 which translates to near 2 1/2 million today! I'm uncertain of where the banner was used...probably a fair or show. This is a banner that shouldn't of survived but amazing did! Regardless what a historic unique addition to your collection that can't be duplicated and certainly worthy of a professional restoration/preservation! Imagine this surrounded by a custom frame from reclaimed barn wood. Condition is as shown with soiling. I'm not sure of the material....possibly cotton or silk but it is solid. Colors are vivid. You are buying as is!
