It was closed on April 1, 2016. All custom designs casting patterns were then destroyed to protect the unauthorized reproduction of their buckles. This ensures that these buckles were limited to the only manufacture, Anacortes Brass Works. This also ensures their collectability. Any new manufacturer will have to make new patterns according to their casting procedures.
